In the summer of 2021, Jacqueline knew that something was not right. She began to feel fatigued and lethargic, with skin blisters breaking out on her hands and swollen feet. With the onset of weight gain and GI issues, she decided that it was time to seek medical treatment.
Jacqueline sought out the support of a functional medicine doctor, who referred her for blood work and her primary care doctor, who recommended she complete an ultrasound of her abdomen. The only finding was that her thyroid levels were borderline low so, so she was recommended to start thyroid medications. Jacqueline intuitively felt that there may be another cause and opted to hold off on starting the thyroid medication. Instead, she sought the second opinion of another functional medicine doctor who suggested that mold toxicity might be causing her symptoms based upon her description of damage to her shower wall. The doctor recommended that Jacqueline have her home environment tested for mold or mycotoxins and recommended a company.
Jacqueline did not go with the company recommended by her doctor because a friend enthusiastically referred her to Nurse Gina. She found Nurse Gina and her team of indoor air quality experts to be “very prompt, professional, and caring.” She felt validated for the first time, as Nurse Gina clearly laid out the protocol for analyzing her home and body for mold and mycotoxins. Jacqueline found the experience to be reassuring since Nurse Gina checked in throughout the process of having the mold eliminated from her home “to make sure things were going as planned.”
Much to her astonishment, once the source of mold in her home was remediated and Jacqueline completed a specially designed detoxification protocol, her symptoms subsided. Moreover, she was encouraged and impressed by the fact that Nurse Gina “still checks in” after treatment and remediation.
Jacqueline has a message for those considering treatment for mold toxicity: Don't hesitate one more moment to give Nurse Gina a call!
In 2017 I found myself struggling with joint pain, dizziness, ear infections, stomach issues, skin rashes and a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s thyroid disease. After going on thyroid medication and hoping to feel better, my symptoms worsened, and I received no further help from my physicians. I ultimately went to a holistic nurse practitioner who had ordered an endocrine disruptor test and found unusual toxins in my system. After speaking with a chiropractor, I was referred to Nurse Gina to see if my house might be making me sick.
Nurse Gina performed an extensive phone interview with me regarding my health issues. On the day of the inspection, she arrived at my home with a lot of equipment and performed a visual inspection as well. She located the problem, there was mold hidden in a wall in my home. After sending samples out for testing, Gina confirmed it was toxic mold. Nurse Gina was compassionate, comforting and most importantly, honest with us about what to expect, she was with us every step of the way through the remediation process. After my husband interviewed several remediators, Gina helped us to select the best remediator for our job and performed follow up testing after remediation.
Within four days of the mold being remediated, my joint pain and skin rashes disappeared. We subsequently found out that our son was not experiencing male patterned baldness in his twenties, he was losing his hair from the mold. It’s been five years since remediation, I have regained my health and my son has regrown his hair!! So grateful to have found Nurse Gina, she helped us regain our health and has become a true friend!!
